South Korea, 11th Mar 2025 - SOOP has announced the kickoff of the 37th edition of the ‘World Championship Nat. Teams 3-Cushion,’ which will be held from March 13 to March 16.

A total of 16 national teams will compete in the group stage, followed by a knockout tournament to determine the champion. Matches from the quarterfinals will be held in single-elimination format.

Team Korea consists of Heo Jung-han and Cho Myung-woo. In the previous tournament, South Korea was eliminated in the quarterfinals after a loss to Spain. However, this year, they are aiming to reclaim the title for the first time in seven years.

The defending champion, Vietnam, will once again be represented by Tran Quyet Chien and Bao Phuong Vinh as they attempt to secure back-to-back victories. Meanwhile, world-class players such as Dick Jaspers from the Netherlands and Torbjörn Blomdahl from Sweden are also set to participate, making for an intense competition.

The group stage matchups have also drawn significant attention. South Korea is placed in Group B alongside Japan, Mexico, and France, setting up a much-anticipated Korea-Japan match. Group A features Türkiye, Portugal, Germany, and Colombia. Group C consists of Vietnam, Jordan, Belgium, and Sweden, while Group D includes the Netherlands, the United States, Spain, and Egypt.
