Independent software vendor (ISV) Strands is a commercial solution that strands together on-chain and traditional markets enabling unique execution capabilities.

Chicago, United States, 29th Jul 2024 - Strands, a global Fintech company using a proprietary ecosystem of novel smart contracts and transactional gateways to develop the most advanced traditional and decentralized institutional tools ever brought to market, is the first Independent Software Vendor (ISV) to tokenize US exchange traded futures and future option contracts giving Strands’ customers unique advantages in the white hot real-world asset tokenization space.

Strands announced that it has developed and deployed, to its first hedge fund customer, a proprietary solution that leverages Strands’ technology to create custom, manual and automated strategies and algorithms. The first product introduced and being utilized is a Covered Call strategy on Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Ethereum futures.

This new feature allows users such as advisors, hedge funds, CTAs, and proprietary traders to trade covered calls or other custom strategies into a brokerage account that is then tokenized by the Strands proprietary system of smart contracts. Strands has built a suite of institutional products that will be released over the next few months.

Tokenization of the traditional exchange traded futures and future options provides the same security and usability that institutions are currently accustomed too, but it also enables the ability to offer fractionalized investments of the strategy to many investors, real-time risk management, fund administration, and increased transparency, trust, and accountability throughout the trade life cycle.
