Seoul, Korea South, 17th May 2024 - Metanation and MEMETOON signed a partnership agreement aimed at targeting the global content market. This agreement focuses on the globalization of various content industries, including webtoons, movies, and dramas, and will introduce innovative projects incorporating blockchain Web3.0 technology.

MEMETOON, a webtoon service with an international publisher, plans to offer a range of services utilizing MEMETOON tokens and MT points. These services include secondary copyright, NFTs, AI, tournaments, donations, sponsorships, support, and gaming. A MEMETOON Foundation representative stated, "We aim to provide a decentralized model service that does not require a trusted third party (TTP) by utilizing a semi-decentralized model and SBT. Metanation plans to launch 'ShortChall,' a WEB3-based short-form challenge service, in Indonesia later this year. ShortChall combines WEB2 and WEB3 services, featuring ranking evaluations through competitions, prize distribution, life-changing dramas, user participation rewards, and targeted advertising for sponsors. Indonesia, with 50% of its population under 30 and a high engagement rate with K-content, provides an ideal environment for a platform that focuses on content, personal participation, and revenue sharing—key concepts for the MZ generation.
